How Doggett Freightliner was able to build a Successful Dealer Award-winning operation after a 2018 acquisition

A revolution is underway at Doggett Freightliner of Arkansas. It started last May when the company was acquired by Leslie Doggett Industries and brought into the Doggett Truck Group family of dealerships.

Before the sale, the North Little Rock facility had been a steady, successful Freightliner dealer for 30 years, says General Manager Brett Graves, serving a diverse customer base throughout central Arkansas. When the transaction was announced, Graves says the news was met with excitement but also some apprehension by the dealership’s employees. Associates were eager about the new challenge but aware the status quo they’d become accustomed to would shift.

Doggett Freightliner of Arkansas was named the winner of the 2019 Successful Dealer Award during a presentation on Thursday, August 22nd 2019 at the Great American Trucking Show in Dallas.

Sponsored by Automann, Interstate Billing and National Truck Protection/Premium 2000, the Successful Dealer Award seeks to recognize and honor North America’s best medium- and heavy-duty truck dealers for their efforts serving their customers and their communities.

Doggett Ford Breaks Ground on Ford Dealership 

Leslie Doggett, one of the nation’s largest dealers of heavy construction equipment, broke ground Thursday on a $24 million Ford dealership, aiming to become a top seller of the popular F-150 pickup truck in the Houston area.

The 62,000-square-foot Doggett Ford, rising on eight acres next to Doggett’s John Deere location off Interstate 45, will be one of the most modern, state-of-the-art Ford dealerships in the country when it opens in October 2020, Doggett said.

“It’s going to be like going into Nordstrom’s versus a convenience store,” said Jason Mosley, Doggett Ford’s general manager. “Having a nice facility is a key factor to draw people in and keep them coming back.”

Doggett Freightliner of North Little Rock, AR is Named Finalist for the 2019 Successful Dealer Award

Doggett Freightliner of North Little Rock, AR is proud to have been named a finalist for the 2019 Successful Dealer Award, sponsored by Automann, Interstate Billing and Premium 2000/National Truck Protection. Doggett Freightliner was also a finalist for this award in 2015 and 2017.

Now in its seventh year, more than 30 North American medium and heavy-duty truck dealers were nominated by the trucking industry for this year’s award. Only five dealers were selected as finalists. This year’s award will be presented Thursday, Aug. 22 at the Great American Trucking Show (GATS) in Dallas, TX. .
